One task, one year
Hours per year = times a week × minutes each time × 52 ÷ 60
Why measure before you automate
A three-minute task feels too small to matter. Done 36 times a week, it adds up to about 94 hours a year. That is the first task on our own list at Skytek: checking marketplace order notifications six times a day.
The number tells you where to look first. It does not tell you whether a task is worth automating; that depends on how often its steps change and what a mistake would cost.
Turning a month or a day into "times a week"
Once a day on six working days is 6 times a week. Once a month is about 0.25 times a week. Four times a month is about 1.
